Office Lunch Catering in Manhattan, Hoboken & Princeton

Mamoun's catering spread with falafel, hummus, salads and pita for an office lunch

By Mamoun's Falafel · Updated October 24, 2026

An office lunch has to do three things at once: arrive on time, feed people with different diets without a separate order for each, and stay inside a budget somebody will ask about later. Falafel does all three well, which is why Mamoun's trays end up in conference rooms from the Financial District to Nassau Street in Princeton. This guide shows what to order for 10, 24, and 50 people, what it costs per head, and how to book from the six stores that take online catering orders.

Short answer: For 10 people, order one 10-pack sandwich tray plus a hummus tray and a gallon drink, about $13 to $14 a head. For 24, two sandwich stations and two gallon drinks come to about $12 a head. For 50, two stations, a 24-pack, two side trays, and three drinks land near $10.50 a head. Everything on the menu is halal, most of it is vegan, and the falafel, dips, rice, and meats are gluten-free, so one order covers the room.

1. Why Falafel Works for an Office Lunch

Mamoun's has run on one idea since 1971: fresh falafel, pita baked in-house daily, and a short menu that most people can eat. For an office that matters more than at a party. You rarely know every guest's diet in advance, and a falafel-and-chicken spread needs no special-order list. The food also holds: pitas, dips, and salads are served at room temperature, so a tray that lands at 11:45 is still right at 1:00.

Each sandwich station feeds about 24 people and makes roughly 36 half sandwiches, so two stations cover 48 and the 24-pack handles the rest in the 50-person order. Add a Walnut Baklava tray ($115, 40 pieces) if the lunch doubles as a celebration.

3. The Three Formats Explained

  • Sandwich Trays (10 or 24 half sandwiches). Pre-made half pitas with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, served with tahineh and hot sauce. Choose falafel, chicken kebob, shawarma, or an assorted tray. Best when people grab lunch and go back to their desks.
  • Sandwich Stations (feeds about 24). The build-your-own option: a tray of falafel (about 75 pieces), chicken kebob (about 100 pieces), or shawarma (about 4 lbs), plus a salad tray, 18 pitas cut in half, two 12 oz tahineh containers, and hot sauce. Best for a seated lunch or a lunch-and-learn where people serve themselves.
  • Party Platters (feeds 6 to 8). A 16-inch six-compartment tray. The Vegetarian Platter holds falafel, hummus, baba ganouj, tabbouleh, and grape leaves; the Meat Platter adds shawarma and chicken kebob. Best as a side spread next to sandwiches, or on its own for a small team.

Side trays round it out: Falafel Side Tray (30 pieces), Hummus or Baba Ganouj Tray (about 12 servings), Tabbouleh (about 8), Seasoned Rice (about 8), and Seasoned Fries (about 6).

4. Covering Halal, Vegan, and Gluten-Free in One Order

  • Halal. All chicken and lamb at Mamoun's is certified halal; the certificates are on the halal page. No separate halal order is needed.
  • Vegan. Falafel trays and stations, the Vegetarian Platter, hummus, baba ganouj, tabbouleh, grape leaves, seasoned rice, seasoned fries (ask for ketchup, since the garlic sauce is not vegan), pita, baklava, and all four gallon drinks are vegan.
  • Gluten-free. Falafel, hummus, baba ganouj, grape leaves, seasoned rice, chicken kebob, shawarma, hot sauce, and tahineh are gluten-free. Pita, tabbouleh, and baklava are not. A gluten-free guest at a sandwich station builds a plate from the falafel or meat tray, salad, rice, and dips and skips the pita.

6. How to Order and When

  1. Open the catering page and click Order Catering, or go straight to the online catering menu.
  2. Choose pickup or delivery and the store.
  3. Pick a date and a 15-minute time slot. Orders can be scheduled up to about 30 days ahead, so a recurring Friday lunch can be booked a month at a time.
  4. Add trays, stations, and drinks. Modifications such as no onions on a sandwich tray or pitas cut in halves instead of quarters are offered in the cart.
  5. Check out. Catering orders are accepted online until 9 pm.

For anything outside the online menu, email catering@mamouns.com.

7. What to Ask Before You Book

The website does not publish a minimum order, a lead time for delivery, a delivery fee, or a delivery radius. Before a large or first-time order, email the store with your headcount, address, and time and ask for those four terms in writing. Also ask whether sandwich trays can be individually wrapped if your team eats at desks, and whether plates, napkins, and serving utensils are included.
